Iphone in India
Airtel, Vodafone has launched iPhone in India on Aug 22 2008. The cost of 8GB and 16GB model is priced at Rs 31,000 and Rs 36,100 respectively. Well expected to be priced in the range of Rs.16,000 to Rs 20,000, which is Rs 10,000 more than price iPhone is selling in US presently. This has caused many enthusiasts to drop the idea of buying a iphone when launched in India. This pricing has considerably increased the grey market sale.
The iphone data plan Data Usage/Month Charges is free for the first 500 MB and costs 30p/50kb after exceeding the limit. 3G is a type of cellular network with key features of faster data download. 3G services are dependant on cellular phone network . But presently 3G is not available in India.
