The touch screen works - as hit anywhere on the screen and a shooting menu appears instantly giving access to flash focus metering exposure sensitivity and scene modes. The switching over takes a mere flurry of the fingertips.
Face Recognition AF & AE function allows you to take bright, beautiful photos of people with perfectly focused faces that are free of shadows caused by backlighting. This useful function detects the position of the subject’s face anywhere in the photo frame and then adjusts the focus and optimizes the exposure. Touch-display control system allows you to select and confirm functions by touching the icons displayed on the LCD.
My Drawing mode lets you enjoy customizing your shots. Using the included stylus pen, create your own original picture by writing directly on the image shown on the monitor or adding a stored illustration with the Stamp function.
The metal clad fella sports just 4 buttons - power, shutter, menu and playback leaving you to control every other function through the power of poking alone. There's a small 3X zoom lens on the front but the real action is around the back, where that 3 inch 230,000 pixel touchscreen holds court. Deleted images recovery function restores images that were erased accidentally.
